Fiat Punto Abarth tuning
Fiat Punto 1.816v Abarth (Mk 2b, 2004)
I'm Data (not my real name of course),36 years old and a happy Punto Abarth driver since may 14th 2004.
Specs:
Fiat Punto HGT/Abarth (in the Netherlands it's called 'Abarth').
Engine:1747 cc 4 cylinder 131+ bhp
0-100: 8,5 seconds (owners claim it is faster)
Top speed: 205 (should be able to do 220 km/h easily, since my old Alfa 33 1.7 QV with 132 bhp managed 230 without problems).
Adjustments:
Merkur rearwing 'KitCar-look'
Merkur grill without the badge
Merkur light brows
Novitec MaXXAir Intake System
Novitec springs (rear -35mm,front -40 mm)
Novitec N6 wheels 17" with Michelin tyres 205/40/17

(also contains pics of the car with 'winter-wheels';15" Dotz with Vredestein Snowtrac tyres)
It's a fast and compact car that gives the driver lots of fun.
many think a Fiat is just like the old Panda. But any car enthousiast would know about 'Abarth', the tuner in the good old days when engines had no limits due to environmental rules.
I've never had any problem with it so far, except some new computer software (update), since the ESP and Hillholder would light up with the start.
It's an exclusive car and faster than you might think!
BMW's 325i with 190 bhp can't outrun a Abarth (I can't outrun them either lol).
To really enjoy the sportiness, you should lower the car like I did. It really makes it worth. I can make 90 degrees turns without any problems. It just goes through corners at warpspeed ;).
Too bad Fiat didn't put a turbo engine in it... Or a real 1.8 144 bhp from Alfa Romeo..
